How the scoring works

Your answers are evaluated using HandAIMan's proprietary scoring algorithm and custom-developed assessment matrix — the HAS-100 system. Each of the 10 business areas is scored independently, and those area scores are combined to produce your overall preliminary HandAIMan Score™ out of 100.

The HAS-100 system is designed specifically to measure AI and automation readiness in small and medium businesses. It weighs each area against a set of operational standards developed by HandAIMan — not a generic checklist — so the score reflects what actually matters for businesses at your stage and in your industry.

The assessment is also adaptive: some questions only appear based on your earlier answers. If your business doesn't schedule appointments, you won't see scheduling questions. If customers don't call you, phone-handling questions are skipped. This keeps every question relevant and your time well spent.

The QuickScore™ produces a preliminary score — reliable as a directional indicator, but based entirely on your self-reported answers. The full HeAIth Check™, conducted with a HandAIMan consultant, applies the complete HAS-100 Assessment to verify and deepen the score, and produces a detailed AI Opportunity Report™ and Prioritized Action Plan™ tailored to your specific business.

What score out of 100 does a healthy business get?
Scores above 70 indicate a strong operational foundation with targeted AI opportunities. Scores between 40 and 70 suggest moderate opportunities across several areas. Scores below 40 indicate significant room for improvement and the highest potential return from AI and automation work.
What happens after I get my QuickScore™?
You receive a breakdown of your score across all 10 system areas, a list of prioritized recommendations, and the option to book a full HeAIth Check™ — a 60–90 minute personal assessment with a HandAIMan consultant that produces a detailed AI Opportunity Report™ and Prioritized Action Plan™. The $100 HeAIth Check fee is credited toward any implementation work you choose to proceed with.
Does my business need to be using AI already to take the QuickScore™?
No. The QuickScore™ is designed for businesses at any stage of AI adoption — including those that have never used AI tools at all. The assessment measures how your business currently operates, not how much AI you already use.
What types of businesses is the QuickScore™ designed for?
The QuickScore™ is designed for small and medium businesses across any industry — including trades and home services, professional services, healthcare, legal, finance, retail, hospitality, real estate, construction, education, and technology. The questions are written in plain language and apply regardless of industry.
What is the difference between the QuickScore™ and the HeAIth Check™?
The QuickScore™ is a free, self-service preliminary assessment you complete yourself in 10–15 minutes. The HeAIth Check™ is a $100 personal assessment conducted with a HandAIMan consultant over 60–90 minutes. It uses the full HAS-100 Assessment, produces a verified HandAIMan Score™, an AI Opportunity Report™, and a Prioritized Action Plan™ tailored to your specific business.
Can I save my QuickScore™ and come back later?
Yes. At any point during the form you can click "Save for later" and enter your email address. We will send you a private link that lets you return to exactly the step you left, valid for 7 days. Your answers are also saved automatically in your browser.
Is my business information kept private?
Yes. Your answers are used only to calculate your score and generate your results. We do not sell or share your information. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.
